Central Bohemia Tourism has launched a new website

The official web pages of Central Bohemia Tourism www.centralbohemia.cz have been thoroughly updated. From February they offer visitors easier navigation and mobile device compatibility, in a new and attractive format. The new pages are primarily geared toward easy content access.
Among the highlights are the completely revised menus and underlying structure. The new website covers current promoted topics, current events, a new list of places to stay or dine at, including a map layer for vacation planning. One totally new feature is a shared calendar of tourist information where registered users can add events taking place in Central Bohemia. For unregistered users, suggested events have to be approved by the site administrator. “The new calendar will certainly contribute to more timely and diverse event notifications. It hasn’t always been feasible to track everything going on in the Region, and thanks to this calendar and the participation of event organizers, users will find more information in one place,” is how Markéta Wernerová, Director of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board describes the calendar.

The new site is also more user-friendly for the media. Under the Media tab, journalists will find completely redesigned printed materials for online display, as well as a photo gallery for downloading print-quality images of famous Central Bohemia sites. The video gallery has also been transformed, newly linked to the Central Bohemia Tourist Board (SCCR) channel on YouTube. Also available are all the head-office press releases.

“Central Bohemia Tourist Board finally has the kind of pages that correspond to today’s trends, and show due regard to the visitor, above all. We were keen to make sure that people coming to the website would find inspiration and further information more quickly and easily. Whatever it is you’re looking for; tips for an outing, a good restaurant, a hotel or an interesting event in the region,” adds Markéta Wernerová.

Not to be forgotten, the Central Bohemia Region website also features our mascot: Karl the Auroch makes visitors aware of our monthly newsletter. The newsletter gets distributed to all interested parties, bringing topical travel tips and news from the Central Bohemia Region.
